Plum Crazy
Hometown: Petaluma
Sounds Like: Sounds like nothing you've ever heard.  But in the words of Dave Terpeny from Kyndmusic.com, "Plum Crazy’s debut CD contains a blend of jam-happy music, jazz fusion funk, alt country, soulful vocals, sweet two-part harmonies and mad song-writing skills that create hypnotizing melodies."

Inside scoop:
2005 Relix JamOff winner Plum Crazy is an expressive and original group of five experienced and dedicated musicians from Northern California. The self titled debut is gaining radio play and acclaim from grassroots efforts by the band. Producer and engineer Sean Beresford, who has worked with Third Eye Blind and The Donnas, really understood what the band was going for and allowed their sound to shine through.

The origins of the band go back to the year of 2000 when guitarist/vocalist Josh Yenne and vocalist Shawna Anderson forged their tight harmonic bond. Drummer Skip Urmson and Josh starting jamming in 2001
with the loose but ambitious idea of starting a full band that had the will and the means to express their varied musical concepts

The band remained little more than a grand idea and a book of inspired original songs for several years until bassist Greg Garvey joined the group. Dan Zemelman was recruited shortly thereafter amid a wash of newfound enthusiam and the lineup was complete.

Watch for the groundswell...

Thanks for your time,

Plum Crazy
