Inside scoop:

Adam has been performing in clubs and festivals for 18 years.  A versatile musician, he plays many styles as well as multiple instruments, including mandolin, bass and lap steel, though he is most fluent on the guitar. His "Americana Roots" style incorporates Piedmont and Delta blues, bluegrass and rockabilly.

Adam attributes much of his initial love for acoustic music to his father, Happy Traum, a mainstay of the Greenwich Village folk music scene. Early brushes with stardom include John Sebastian of the Lovin' Spoonful loaning Adam his first electric guitar and an impromptu jam with Bob Dylan.

After playing in electric rock bands, and learning jazz guitar, Adam re-discovered the power of acoustic music in 1993. Since then he has been studying the masters of the genre.
